PROFESSOR Stephen Hawking has sent a strong warning to President Donald Trump by stating the businessman-turned-politician’s stance on environmental issues could DESTROY Earth and leave it with similar conditions to Venus.
Venus, the second closest planet to the sun, was once Earth-like.
But a build-up of greenhouse gasses in its atmosphere turned the planet into a boiling celestial body with temperatures of 250 degrees celsius and wind speeds of up to 100 metres per second.
President Trump recently took the controversial steps of withdrawing the US from the Paris Climate Agreement – a move which Professor Hawking says could destroy Earth.
In an interview to mark his 75th birthday, the world famous physicist told the BBC: “We are close to the tipping point where global warming becomes irreversible.
Trump’s decision to remove the US from the climate agreement has been met with anger: “Trump’s action could push the Earth over the brink, to become like Venus, with a temperature of two hundred and fifty degrees, and raining sulphuric acid.”
He added: “Climate change is one of the great dangers we face and it’s one we can prevent if we act now. “By denying the evidence for climate change, and pulling out of the Paris Climate Agreement, Donald Trump will cause avoidable environmental damage to our beautiful planet, endangering the natural world, for us and our children.”
Professor Hawking then reiterated his claims if the human race is to survive we will need to leave Earth and colonise another planet – most likely Mars.
The author of a Brief History of Time continued: “I fear evolution has inbuilt greed and aggression to the human genome.
“There is no sign of conflict lessening, and the development of militarised technology and weapons of mass destruction could make that disastrous.
“The best hope for the survival of the human race might be independent colonies in space.”
Stephen Hawking is an astrophysicist occasionally referred to as “the smartest man in the world” by liberal fans. He is profoundly impacted by Multiple Sclerosis. Before his affliction Dr. Hawking was well on his way to a stellar career in his field only to be struck down by the profoundly debilitating disease that advances cruelly shutting down one capacity after another. Nonetheless, he has made contributions with the help of a cadre of contributors and volunteers.
From what Dr. Hawking has said in this piece it is clear he has been misinformed and is now being used by a shameless combination of “global warmers” and “space-nauts” as what he is saying is provably ridiculous. A simple test-demo like we have in “CO2 Is Innocent” at http://ScienceFrauds.blogspot.com show that not only will greater amounts of CO2 in atmosphere not cause the temperature to rise, but at 1%, the standard required by the American Meteorological Society for 100 years before the Obama Administration bought them for $1 million per year of taxpayer money, the temperature falls!
The idea of the human race moving to another planet is ridiculous, but we would entertain it if all politicians would go first. Where this is the most likely outcome if this panic campaign sells then we will be for it if we can get a crack at their splendid real estate at ridiculously low prices.
Mars has no atmosphere and making one is a losing proposition as there is no source of energy to cook oxygen out of the red iron oxide covering the planet. As well, Mars does not have sufficient gravity to keep an atmosphere so making one, if it could be done, would be losing proposition.
Mars has no water and that we cannot make there plus Mars is so cold it would all freeze and be unusable. Any talk of creating a human colony on Mars is madness, but in this case driven by bureau building and preserving NASA folk who will go to any length to keep their jobs and expand the salary pyramid potentials. This is just another example of the corruption of our science.
