A recent tweet unmasked Common Core math for the insanity that it truly is.
The tweet showed the difference between “old fashion” math and the “new” common core way, and now the tweet is going viral thanks to the clarity in which it shows why Common Core is so ridiculous.

President Trump has long been opposed to the Common Core and in the past his campaign made many promises to kill the beast, but it’s proven more difficult than he originally thought.
Even after choosing an anti-Common Core Education Secretary in Betsy DeVos, some states continue to use the backwards methodology.
Many of you are asking about Common Core. To clarify, I am not a supporter—period. Read my full stance, here: https://t.co/qB2nAXvX0B

Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos said Monday that Common Core isn’t an issue states have to deal with anymore.
“There’s isn’t really any Common Core anymore, and each state is able to set the standards for their state,” Ms. DeVos said on Fox News…
“The Every Student Succeeds Act, which is in the process of being implemented now, essentially does away with the whole argument about Common Core,” Ms. DeVos said.
It may not been an issue today, but allowing it to survive at all means that the next administration (possibly a Democratic one) has to do is reinstate their threat of cutting federal funding to anyone not using the Common Core.
While the Common Core may not be a problem most states have to deal with right now, the administration should continue to do everything they can to strip the system out of our public education bureaucracy.
