Americans of a certain generation will remember the riots and the rowdiness of the 1960’s often with a bit of a romanic twist to the tale.

Perhaps it is the effect of time on these memories that make them seem so fond.  Even the english language suggests it.  The words “reminiscent” and “nostalgic” are both beautiful words in their own right, enticing the speaker to choose their own syllabic influence, and impart a bit of nuance to the day.

Part of this surely comes from the ancient traditions of storytelling, of separating the hero from the villain, and exaggerating the faults of the latter and the legend of the former.  As the stories grew, so did the spatial difference between good and evil, by the mere mechanism of storytelling itself.

At some point these stories grow violent, vitriolic.  We need them to.  We need to learn to draw our lines in the sand, and the only way to confront your opposition is to confront your opposition.  That step must be taken, but through which avenue?

As a civilization, we’ve long attempted to keep it civil, with mixed success.  In America particularly, we got more than a bit heated back during the 1860’s, with the War Between the States and all, and some think that we might be headed in that general direction once again.

The first bit of evidence of the impending civil unrest within out nation came to us from the election of Donald Trump.

This massive shift away from the norms for the republican party was an enormously divisive statement.  Not only was the GOP transforming into a party of risk takers by nominating the politically unkempt Trump, they were wielding a sword that even they didn’t have the strength to daftly maneuver.  Trump was a beast unto himself, and soon broke off the republican leash to begin taking swipes at the entire establishment.

This is where the eventual President exemplified his drain the swamp ethos for the world to see.

“’Either we win this election or we lose this country,’ Trump said. ‘Under a Trump administration, it’s going to be America First.’

“Speaking for the second time in two days about his ethics plan, Trump called for:

• “A constitutional amendment imposing term limits on members of Congress
• A ban on federal employees lobbying the government for five years
• A ban on members of Congress lobbying for five years
• Tighter rules about what constitutes a lobbyist, instead of letting people call themselves consultants
• Campaign finance reform limiting what foreign companies can raise for American political candidates
• A ban on senior government officials lobbying for foreign governments”

This had the predictable side effect of completely infuriating the Washington establishment, who have worked for decades to create a system of government in which they get paid exorbitantly to sell the country out from under We The People.  Their connections in the mainstream media began running hit piece after hit piece, lambasting the candidate for his hope of removing the sleaze balls from Washington.  Soon, the left was using the phrase “drain the swamp” more frequently than the Trump campaign was, simply in their attempts to shame the eventual Commander in Chief.

Then, as Trump ascended into power, all hell broke loose on the left side of the narrative.

Soon we were watching Kathy Griffin cry on television after posing with a photorealistic depiction of the President’s beheaded cranium, as if she herself has decapitated The Donald.

kathy griffin

Yeah.  Not okay.

Griffin’s stunt, no matter how heinous it was, could prepare us for what happened next.

“A heavily armed gunman ambushed Republican senators and congressmen at a baseball practice Wednesday morning, leaving House Majority Whip Steve Scalise in critical condition and wounding four other people.

“President Donald Trump said four hours after the attack that the shooter died after his firefight with two Capitol police officers on hand to protect Scalise, the No. 3 member of the House, and police who responded to emergency calls.

“Law enforcement identified the suspect as James Hodgkinson of Belleville, Ill., a 66-year-old who owned a home inspection business, according to multiple reports. He left a trail of anti-Trump venom on social media, including a comment on Facebook when he signed an impeachment petition that read, ‘Trump is a Traitor. Trump Has Destroyed Our Democracy. It’s Time to Destroy Trump & Co.'”

Make no mistake about it:  Hodgkinson was an agent of the radical left, looking to inflict as much pain and suffering as he could into American politics.  His actions came as a direct result of the horrific campaign of the liberals to desensitize the nation to the idea of President Trump’s demise.

Now, over a year into Trump’s first year in office, we are learning that none of the decorum has returned to the left after the Griffin/Hodgkinson incidents.

“U.S. Capitol Police have arrested a male Democratic operative for assaulting a female Interior Department communications official following a House budget hearing Thursday.

“The assault happened after Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke finished testifying on the department’s 2019 budget proposal before the House Committee on Natural Resources. The suspect identified himself as a reporter with American Bridge and pushed a female Interior Department communications official to the floor, chasing after Zinke, The Daily Caller News Foundation learned.

“Interior communications director Laura Rigas was ‘greatly alarmed and extremely irate that a female senior member of my DOI Communications team was physically assaulted today by a Democrat staffer from the PAC American Bridge,’ she told Politico.”

Political violence, yet again.  And, as in the previous instances, culminating from the left’s hatred of Traditional Americans.

As if there was any doubt about “American Bridge”, don’t you worry, they are just as well connected as you might think:

“Liberal billionaire George Soros donated $2 million to American Bridge in 2016, and the Tom Steyer-founded NextGen Climate Action regularly donates money to the group, according to the Center for Responsive Politics.”

George Soros

Yep. This guy again.

Soros, who is considered by many to be in the elite class of the Rothschild and Rockefeller families, has long been the behind-the-scenes boogeyman who puppeteers the radical left.  During the 2016 campaign, rumors of his funding of radical leftist group Antifa ran rampant, and culminated in one sect of the domestic terror group protesting against Soros simply in order to be paid.

“On April 2, Beverley Hills Antifa tweeted: “Antifa demands George Soros pay us the money he owes. Unite comrades and fight for $15/hour. #Resist.”

“It appears that Beverly Hills Antifa may have been paying protesters ‘$15/hour’ which raises the question: How much was the faction promised by Soros? Just enough to cover payroll, or far more?

“And it appears that Soros may have ponied up because the faction still remains active to this day and even recently posted a video to Twitter offering ‘6 rioting tips for newbs’ which the ANTIFA promises will help ‘take their anarchy to the next level.’ Shockingly, the faction’s spokesman even recommends ‘doing a little shoplifting.’”

So, with Soros’ money and the liberals’ divide and conquer tactics in their back pocket, is there any way to declare that this incident wasn’t an act of political violence?
